As a survey crew chief, you will work with our survey department to complete survey jobs. Field work is assigned and overseen by the survey manager. A survey crew chief is responsible for completing each field job accurately and efficiently. This position is mostly performed outdoors.
Position Overview:
Position Status: Full-Time (permanent or seasonal)
Expected hours of work: 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting at $50,000
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- No degree required
- Entry level or experienced
- Able to read a map
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift and transport heavy objects
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to operate survey equipment preferred – Carlson SurvPC, Total Station and GNSS GPS
- CAD experience preferred
- Experience performing field work preferred
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Consistent communication with supervisor and team members to ensure each job is prepared for and performed accurately
- Perform outdoor field work including but not limited to staking, plat of survey, boundaries, lot line adjustments and survey with topography
- Responsible for completing all assigned tasks
- Responsible for care of all assigned company vehicles and equipment
