LAKE GENEVA, Wis., Sept. 22, 2026 – Cardinal Engineering will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a ribbon cutting and reception from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at its Lake Geneva office, 526 S. Wells St.

Owner Ryan Cardinal, PE, founded Cardinal Engineering in 2016 as a one-person firm, working from a spare bedroom in his home and the Lake Geneva Public Library. Ten years later, the team has grown to 14, including its first hire, and Cardinal operates from a building it owns on Wells Street.

“When you navigate a long distance, you stop periodically to check your bearing and make sure you’re still headed where you meant to go,” Cardinal said. “Ten years is that checkpoint for us, and we’re on course.”

“The neighborhoods, sites, roads, and stormwater systems we design shape how people live here and how we protect the lakes and waterways that make this area special,” Cardinal said.

Guests at the Oct. 15 celebration can join Cardinal Engineering and Visit Lake Geneva for the ribbon cutting, tour Cardinal’s newly renovated office, meet the team and watch live drone demonstrations, including Cardinal’s LiDAR drone. A food truck will also be on site. The conference room will feature photos of projects from Cardinal’s first decade and a timeline of the company’s 10-year journey.

The community is invited to attend and encouraged to RSVP in advance.

“For our clients, it’s a thank-you,” Cardinal said. “Every client who trusted a one-person firm working out of the library is part of the reason we’re here.”
