Cardinal Engineering is looking for a Survey Technician to join our growing team in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a variety of surveying, engineering, and construction projects.
The Survey Technician will work alongside our Survey Crew Cheifs and Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience while supporting accurate and efficent field operations. Previous surveying experience is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with a strong work ethic, professional attitude, and willingness to learn.

Position Overview
Position Status: Full-Time
Expected Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Salary: $20-$27 per hour, based on experience

Skills and Experience Requirements
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new field skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage time, equipment, and project information effectively
- Positive and professional communication with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a survey crew
- Previous surveying or related experience is a plus, but not required
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with preliminary and post-as-built topography, land boundary surveys, and construction staking
- Support construction staking for roads, houses, storm networks, and other projects
- Maintain assigned survey equipment and keep the survey truck stocked, clean, and organized
- Take job site photos and complete applicable survey checklists and documentation
- Meet with Project Managers to review assignments and project needs
- Assist with drafting for surveying or engineering projects when field work is not required
- Maintain accurate project information, hours, and status updates
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing team development
